Wyoming-Nebraska Direct Feeder Cattle, Wyoming

Compared to the last report 8 weight steers sold 10.00 higher. No recent test on feeder heifers. Demand was good with several feedlots looking for cattle purchase. Very dry conditions continue to prevail in both reporting regions along with several large fires in Nebraska Sandhills. Much need moisture needs to come very soon! Hopefully, the ole nursery rhyme, April showers brings May flowers comes true in these areas. Feedlot sales this week in Nebraska should feel like a slight win for the feedlots with some negative news in the beef sector continues to swirl around and Choice boxes were off most of the week. Live and dressed sales sold steady from 234.00-235.00 and 372.00 respectively.
