View USDA PDF VersionCompared to last week: Feeder steers under 700 lbs 4.00 to 10.00 higher. Over 700 lbs mostly 1.00 higher with exception to 850-900 lbs. bringing 6.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 600 lbs sharply lower. Heifers over 600 lbs. unevenly steady with exception to 750-850 lbs. 7.00 to 10.00 lower. Demand good for cattle with both sets of shots and low to moderate flesh. Negotiated fed cattle prices continue to be firm achieving a top of $245 last week and the feeder cattle complex closed slightly higher. Cattle feeders continue to have the fundamentals in their favor and there were ample opportunities to acquire solid lots and loads of quality cattle today.
