***Close*** Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves over 600 lbs. were 6.00-12.00 higher while calves under 600 lbs. were 4.00-8.00 lower. Demand was good on a moderate supply. The largest draft of the day was 60 head of 942 lb. steers which sold for 332.00/cwt. Another stick-out draft was 14 head of 424 lb. steers which sold for 605.00/cwt., which was the 5th highest 4 weight sale in the barn's history. The CME Cattle Futures traded higher on Tuesday led by the Feeder Cattle Futures which traded sharply higher. Choice boxed beef closed at 395.49 which was 4.42 lower than a week ago but 2.52 higher than Friday's close.
