View USDA PDF VersionCompared to last week, receipts increased significantly as improved weather conditions allowed producers to market cattle. This week's offering consisted primarily of weaned calves, which sold on strong demand. Light-weight grazing calves saw the strongest buyer interest. Due to last week's limited supply resulting from adverse weather, few comparable sales were available to establish a definitive price trend. However, with this week's larger supply of weaned calves, feeder cattle traded $30.00-$50.00 higher on an uneven test. Slaughter cattle sold on strong demand as well, trading $5.00-$10.00 higher compared to last week.
