First reported feeder cattle sale in recent weeks so an accurate price trend is not available. A nice offering of feeder cattle today featuring a handful of loads and many packages. Very good demand for light fleshed backgrounding or grass type cattle and replacement heifers, good to very good demand for finishing type cattle depending on flesh condition. Quality varied, especially on packages, as producers clean out pens to prepare for the next calf crop. Flesh ranged from light to some heavy flesh at times. An active market with mostly order buyers in the seats, many producers are busy calving. Watch local listings for the next feeder cattle sale.
