Compared to last week, steers sold 3.00-10.00 higher and heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher with yearling heifers lightly tested. Demand was good to very good for a moderate to heavy supply that included several fancy groups of mostly un-weaned calves and 8 loads of quality yearling steers. Rain showers and storms over the last few weeks have kept farmers out of the field but allowed them to gather up some cattle and cash in on an impressive cattle market. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady, bulls 3.00-5.00 higher.
