Market report for Tuesday, February 10, 2026
Data sourced from USDA AMS
View USDA PDF VersionCompared to last week: Feeder steers steady to 2.00 higher. Steers with good condition weighing 600-700lbs 10.00-12.00 higher. Feeder heifers 5.00-10.00 lower. After last week's sharply higher feeder heifer market, some buyers were competely out on the heifer turn. Feeder steer condition was much better than feeder heifers. Steer and heifer calves 10.00-20.00 higher. Calf quality mostly plain with a few drafts of thin fleshed front-end cattle. Calf demand very good. Several buyers left the calf sale on Tuesday early after finding their dollars didn't go as far as expected, with prices continuing to climb. Some buyers voiced concern that this may be the final big sale for the next several weeks, leading to the increased competition for calves. Much needed rain is forecasted for Saturday.
